Fill & Sign

Fill any form. Sign it. Send it.

Click into the fields of a PDF form, or type on a flat or scanned one. Your signature goes where you drop it, and the finished file can go straight to Mail or AirDrop.

  • My details fills your name, address, phone and email in 1 click, from your Keychain.
  • Your tax ID is never filled without your click.
  • Draw your signature on the trackpad, type it, or use a photo of it.
  • Initials on every page in 1 click.
The Fill and Sign window with a W-9 form filled from a business profile, and a list of the filled fields to review before saving.

Hide & redact

Remove account numbers for good.

Dropwell finds Social Security numbers, tax IDs, account, routing and card numbers, emails, phone numbers and the words you add. You review each one, then it is removed, not just covered.

  • Redacted pages are rebuilt, so the hidden text cannot be copied, searched or recovered.
  • Document info, hidden metadata and embedded files go too.
  • Screenshots and photos as well as PDFs.
  • Previews show masked numbers only.
Redaction review for a direct deposit form. The SSN, EIN, routing and account numbers are marked on the page, with a list of what will be removed.

Shrink to size

Small enough to email.

Pick Email, Web or Print, or ask for a size such as under 5 MB. Dropwell shows the size before and after, then saves a smaller copy beside the original.

  • PDFs and photos, 1 file or 200.
  • Form fields are kept.
  • The original is never touched.
Shrink to size options for 2 files: the Email preset, photo quality at 70 percent, and the size before and after.

Merge & pages

Join files. Put every page in place.

Drop PDFs and pictures, drag them into order and get 1 PDF. Reorder, rotate, delete and split pages in a grid of thumbnails.

  • Build a packet with a bookmark for each document, a contents page and page numbers.
  • Stamps, page numbers and Bates numbering.
  • Word files to PDF, with text that stays selectable.
The Application packet window: a Word cover letter, a rental application form, a W-9 and a redacted bank reference letter in order, with a contents page, page numbers and a 10 MB size limit turned on.

Scan cleanup

Photos of paper, made into a clean PDF.

Dropwell finds the edges of each page, straightens it, lifts shadows and makes 1 searchable PDF. Take the photos with your iPhone right from the window.

  • Colour, grayscale or black and white.
  • Fit to the picture, Letter or A4.
  • Text in the scan becomes searchable.

Rules

Files that sort themselves.

Choose a folder and what should happen to new files in it. Dropwell does it as they land, even with its window closed.

  • HEIC photos to JPG, big PDFs shrunk, Downloads tidied.
  • Invoices and receipts renamed by what they say and filed by year.
  • Scans made searchable and named by date, type and amount.
  • Every action is logged and can be undone. Nothing is deleted.
Rules in Settings, with presets such as HEIC to JPG, Shrink screenshots, Tidy Downloads, Scans folder and Invoices and receipts, each with its own switch.

Finder right-click

Right-click a file. Pick what to do.

Dropwell is in the Finder menu. It lists only the actions that fit the files you picked, and each one runs with sensible settings.

  • Hold Option to choose the settings first.
  • Drop files on the Dock icon or the window for the same choices.
  • Shortcuts actions for each main tool.

AI connection

Your AI app can use Dropwell, on your Mac.

Dropwell includes a local MCP server, so Claude Desktop and other AI apps that use the Model Context Protocol can run its tools on files you name. It runs on your Mac and opens no network connection.

  • Off until you turn it on in Settings.
  • AI apps never get your details, your tax IDs or the numbers Dropwell finds.
  • Results are saved beside the originals. No tool deletes or overwrites a file, and none takes a password.

What your AI app does with the answers it gets is up to that app and its own privacy terms.

The AI connection switch in Dropwell's Settings, off by default. It reads: Lets AI apps on this Mac, such as Claude Desktop, use Dropwell's tools on files you name.

New file beside the original

Your files never leave your Mac.

Your statements, forms and photos are read and changed on your Mac with Apple's own frameworks. There is no Dropwell cloud to upload them to.

  • Your files stay put

Dropwell never uploads a file, a row or a page. It works offline, on a plane or behind a firewall.

  • 3 small network calls

Activating a license sends your key, a hashed machine ID and the Mac's name. Deactivating sends the key and that ID. Update checks send the app version. That is all.

  • No account to make

The email you use at checkout is your identity. There is no password to forget and no profile to fill in.

Questions, answered.

Which banks does it work with?

Dropwell reads the layout of the statement, not a list of banks. US and Canadian statements have been tested, in English and French. Because every statement is checked to the cent, a statement that reads wrong is shown to you before anything is exported.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Every file is read and saved on your Mac. The app makes 3 kinds of network request: license activation, license deactivation and update checks. The privacy policy lists exactly what they send.

What does the free trial include?

Every tool, with 3 free jobs. A job is anything that saves a file, such as an export. Reading bank statements, the table preview and the balance check are free and do not count.

Which Macs does it run on?

macOS 13.4 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Each license covers 3 Macs.
