License agreement

Last updated 8 November 2026

Draft, needs owner review. Not legal advice.

This end user license agreement ("agreement") is between you and ELEGANT TECH LLC, 8272 168th St, Jamaica, NY 11432, United States ("we", "us"). It covers the Dropwell app for Mac, including its Finder extension, its command line tool, its MCP server and its updates ("Dropwell"). By installing or using Dropwell, you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not install or use Dropwell.

1. License grant

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Dropwell, for personal or business purposes:

A Yearly license covers the versions of Dropwell released before the end of your paid time, and you may keep using those versions after it ends. A Lifetime license covers all versions. A license may be used by you, or by people in your household or business, as long as it stays within its seats.

2. What you may not do

3. Ownership

Dropwell, its design and its name belong to ELEGANT TECH LLC and are protected by copyright and other laws. This agreement gives you a license, not ownership. Dropwell includes open source components, which are covered by their own licenses, included with the app.

4. Your files and your results

Your files are yours. Dropwell works on them on your Mac and does not send them to us. You are responsible for the documents you process and for checking the results before you rely on them. In particular:

5. Activation and updates

Dropwell activates a license over the internet and checks for updates, as described in the privacy policy. Updates may add, change or remove features. We have no duty to provide updates or support beyond what your plan includes.

6. Ending the license

This license ends if you break this agreement, or if your payment is refunded or reversed; we then revoke your key. When it ends, you must stop using Dropwell under that license and delete it, unless you continue on the free trial. Sections 3, 4, 7, 8 and 10 continue after it ends.

7. No warranty

Except for the 30-day money-back guarantee in our refund policy, and to the extent the law allows, Dropwell is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Dropwell will be free of errors, that it will read every document, or that its results will be correct in every case.

8. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, revenue or business, arising from Dropwell or this agreement. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Dropwell in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

9. Export and government use

You may not use or export Dropwell in breach of United States export laws or sanctions. Dropwell is commercial computer software; any use by the United States government is under the terms of this agreement.

10. General

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law of your country requires otherwise. It is the whole agreement between us about Dropwell, together with the terms of sale. If part of it cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update this agreement for future versions; the version shown with a version of Dropwell applies to it.
